<<Even if the USA goes to full-blown socialized medicine, there will always be a private health care system for those who are willing and able to pay for faster, system-rationed, or experimental health care.

That's very likely true. But health care for the middle class that currently has private health insurance and thus access to excellent care is going to decline sharply, in my opinion.

The middle class is going to pay a lot more to get poorer quality health care. When that reality sank in, it killed off Hillarycare. Whether that will happen again will be an interesting thing to watch.

It's ironic that Dem effoits to fix wage rates during WWII created the employer health insurance phenomena to begin with, and with it a class based system of health care. That defeated Dem efforts for their national health care schemes from Harry Truman to the present day.
