<<I don't care what laws are any state's or any govt's entity's books. as if that is any arbiter. Its crime against humanity and the weakest at that.>> Oh. You mean you WISH it were a crime, when it isn't. We're actually quite picky in this country about requiring legislative bodies to enact laws before things become crimes.<<The weakest go belly up, those just above are stuck in a life of purgatory , harmful to all society. >> Personally, I don't like credit card company practices much. The smart, shrewd and disciplined can take advantage of low interest or no interest offer and get cash back for purchasing. The foolish and stupid wind up in debt and being hammered by interest and fees. But the democratizing of credit in this country gives people a useful tool to enhance and improve their lives if it's used wisely. I read about people here all the time who used credit card debt to complete college, solve financial emergencies and purchase needed health care. These people might be a lot worse off if credit were not available to them. In short, I don't much care for credit cards myself, but they can greatly improve the lives of people who use them with care and restraint. Seattle Pioneer
