Never carrying a balance, and wanting to keep an eye on your credit history are both very Foolish ideas. From what I've read, it's advisable to check your credit history once a year if you want to stay on top of it to be safe.

Some agencies will give you a free report once a year. I don't have any of the links handy, but I'll betcha within a few hours, you'll see plenty of links posted here by other Fools. ; )
