Two questions...

Do you actually know "many" runners/walkers with non-insulin dependant diabetes ? The few I know are attempting to reduce their need for glucophage by increasing exercise.....better than nothing but an example of bolting the stable door after the horse has left, if you ask me.

Of the lifelong runners/walkers you do know, are you sure that their diabetes isn't due to some congenital down-regulation of their insulin receptor sites, rather than an aquired insensitivity?
