<<I'm a bit confused by TMF Investment Guide -- are "Rule Breakers" simply small cap growth stocks by a different name? They devote a chapter to small caps in the book, and introduce the Foolish Eight, then a later chapter on Rule Breakers with six qualitative criteria.

Clarification from you voracious readers would be greatly appreciated.>>

Rule Breakers can indeed be small-caps, but don't necessarily have to be. The real way to identify/define them is to follow the criteria you mentioned -- though there are a few more than six items. They're listed and elaborated upon here:
