<<I've seen many financial ships wrecked on these boards from a multitude of small leaks. There's no reason to believe that a financial ship can't be helped by the opposite, which is small gains.

There is really no way to reconcile the people who like their credit cards versus those who don't.

Personally, I find that my frugal lifestyle benefits from avoiding credit cards unless there is a real reason for using them. I find that after getting 90-95% off the price of some new item, saving a few cents with cash back on a credit card is trivial.

Plus, I just don't like the dad-gum things!

I figure that 99% of the time, credit cards are the source of a multitude of small leaks for people. I suspect that 1% of the time, they will provide small gains for people like yourself. Retailers pay credit card fees because they make higher profits and higher sales if they do.

While I never spend recklessly, perhaps I don't like associating with those who do by habitual use of credit cards.

Did I say that I just don't like credit cards except for occasions when cash or checks aren't good solutions?
