<<<In what way? Do you realize that Seoul is within artillery range of the DMZ? That, without flying a plane, the north could turn Seoul into a pile of wreckage. Throw in a missile ... no possibility of stopping it from so close ... and put a nuclear weapon on it ... and who cares what the South's army might do later, the South would no longer exist. Sure, might well be mutual destruction, but that wouldn't do the South any good afterwards.>>>

Ummm, Tamhas, you do realize your answer makes no sense. My direct point was that South Korea could easily provide its own defense without the U.S.

How does United States presence make any of the above regarding North Korea any different as long as South Korea provides for its own defense comparable to how we do?

Almost all your posts are like this, senseless. You have an ideology that you cannot see around, you must incessantly preach it, defend it even against the indefensible, never concede anything (I mean never, ever, ever, ever, do you concede anything) you never admit the obvious (such as you are a Leftist - absurd to deny it, I mean it is a mental illness if you do. Be proud of who you are, jeepers, and you never get around to ever thinking about what you are saying and how it works in the real world. Never, ever.

So in what way does removing the U.S. as primary protecter of South Korea and instead South Korea increasing its own military expenditure change any of the above defense difficulties that face Seoul? Obviously in no way (unless the U.S. has some secret force field that it cannot lend the South Koreans). But there you go again, not giving a single thought to what you are writing.

Btw/ glad you agree with Trump that North Korea cannot be allowed to go nuclear and appeasing this dictator, who is easily the most evil dictator since Cambodia, but crazier, is no longer an option (and it never should have been to begin with).
