There was a discussion about women in his administration in Mass. he saidhe asked for suggestions (or recommendations) for women for the various offices and he received (numerous) binders.

Not that he received numerous recommendations, or names of women, or anything to indicate a connection to people. In my opinion it was a look into his mind and thought process---as a former executive I understood it---but it was too impersonal; I think it cost him a lot of female votes.
