That's a good concern. Know that with Ashoka, your money goes to a social entrepreneur who has been carefully vetted (http://www.ashoka.org/fellows/search.cfm) through a time-tested-and-improved process. Your money provides a living stipend for these folks for usually 3 years, while they get great programs up and running (or running faster).
