<<Now we have some right-wingers bragging about paying zero taxes. Well guess what? Police and Fire departments still need to get paid, and a public hospital will still pay patch you up if you get smashed by a car and wake up in the hospital..but when the right-wingers don't pay taxes, even if they pay zero taxes, they are "good people" but if a lower-income person does it, they are "bad, bad bad!">>

Yep ---I made a choice to give up pulling the wagon in favor of riding instead. $64 in Federal taxes paid last year.

High tax rates and working became less attractive than negligible tax rates and a lot of leisure. That's the incentive liberals have created by their efforts to soak the rich.

However, since you feel strongly about this issue, you are certainly free to keep working and paying high tax rates until you are ninety.

When liberals were promoting the Alternative Minimum Tax, they piously said that "everyone should pay at least some Federal Income tax." I agree with that and I think we should re enact a poll tax that everyone would pay, and cut down on all the exemptions and credit that eliminate taxes for a lot of people like myself.

Think we can get that through the Dem Congress so that you can punish me for my wicked idleness?
