Well...you might have found the response interesting reading. Just one simply problem...the response was just plain wrong.

The claim of "strategic marriage and divorce" is nothing more than a flim-flam. The courts HAVE weighed in on the issue, and have sided with the IRS.

Regarding the ownership of assets by people who are not married to each other, there are a tremendous number of pitfalls. If you would really like some interesting (and true) reading on the issue, do a folder search for the information provided here by Chris Riser...an estate planning attorney. Many of the estate and gift pitfalls that he discusses will directly apply to you...and something that you should be aware of now...before they become even more of a burden.
