<<Very interesting debate.

I saw Al Gore's movie and he presents a compelling case for concern.

The number of people that'll be displaced with rising ocean levels will wreak havoc with the world economy - lost beachfront sucks but refugees on that scale would be horrifying. Don't know if the water rose when we moved from being hunter gatherers to agrarian and started trundling down the road to where we are --- but, there wasn't much of an impact in comparison to what'll happen this time around - I'd guess.>>

Imagine two cave men around a fire at the end of the last ice age.

One tells the other that he needs to put out the fire----- it will cause global climate change. The earth will warm up, the glaciers will melt, the seas will rise and close off the land bridge to Asia. Terrible storms will arise in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans called hurricanes or typhoons. Tremendous deluges of rain will develope called monsoons. Extinctions of huge numbers of plants and animals will occur.

All that happened. The result is the modern world that environmentalists think they can prevent nature from changing.

That's the ultimate act of arrogance by environmentalists.
