<<YOu've got voice mail, use it. If you chose to answer every call you get you've created your own problem. Your the one who gets "bothered" by the whole process your the one who can control your reaction to these calls. YOu CHOSE to make this an issue, if you don't like the call say no thank you and hang up. IF the call back repeat, doing anything else may ENCOURAGE someone to call you back as you've allready seen. >>

It's true that you can adapt to the intrusions of telemarketers, but they remain an intrusion even if you do so. Being forced to let an answering machine answer your calls is an intrusion into our lives.

My solution was to... discontinue home telephone service. I use my cell phone for personal calls now, and give out my disconnected phone number to most businesses, which thewy can then sell to ne generations of telemarketers. But obviously, that method is an intrusion into one's liberties as well.

When people are employed to bother you, I guess there is no free escape.
