<the advertisements for how wonderful public schools are really get boring>

As do the attacks on public schools and especially public school teachers. I have been willing to listen to the homeschooling point of view, and even to help out when I can. To paraphrase your comment, this is a board about home schooling, not about denigration of public schools, or do you believe that that is the only justification for home schooling.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, hopefully for the last time. Public schools work just fine for some people. For those folks for whom public schools do not work, I support alternative strategies. In the end it is the educational process that matters. It matters not one whit in which venue it occurs.
