<The markets are oversold, VIX, through the roof, I thought yesterday was going to be a good day, won't even speculate today.>

I would consider speculating today on my favorite high-dividend stocks, but tonight is Kol Nidre (beginning of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement).

I'm apparently the only cantor (Hebrew singer) on the remote north Olympic Peninsula (however unqualified). The rabbi is staying over the entire holiday at our home. No time to pay attention to the market today. Many other Jews will be knocking off early, too, since sunset is early with the holiday unusually late in the year (6:15 candle lighting in Seattle). This market will surely provide lots of opportunities for repentance, so expect many Jews to be leaving the trading floors at 4 PM latest.

There will be other days to speculate. I don't think it's the bottom. I think Jeff is right -- the bottom will be next year.
