<Wouldn't figuring out how to tell if the donor is actually healthy be a bit of a problem? Then there is the amount needed. I would think that could vary.>

If I decided to do this, I would ask a healthy family member, such as my husband.

The amount needed? Ask him to poop. Blend it up and use it. If it doesn't work the first time, try a second time (cf. the experiment reported in the N.Y. Times, where a few patients needed a repeat).

No fear that DH will run out of $h!t ;-).
