I don't know how many of you subscribe to Apple's .mac service. (probably a small %)
I've been using it since it was introduced.
One of the major flaws is how slow transferring files to and from you idisk is.

Call me crazy, but I've been moving some files around tonight and I can't believe how fast it is suddenly. I just uploaded a 200 MB home movie in about 4 minutes. This would have previously taken at least an hour. Also I've been able to download 5-10 MB files in like 20-30 seconds.

Anyone else able to confirm this?
I'm on a fast cable connection, but it's not usually like this. It wasn't like this the AM when I uploaded some files I needed for work.

Perhaps it's just Macworld craziness...
But if not, this gives some hint at updated .mac services (already expected) and possibly some validity to a video download infrastructure (also already discussed)

Here's to seeing how it all plays out tomorrow
