Make an appointment with a representative from the company that manages the retirement plan (John Hancock?) and discuss your needs & preferences for your retirement dollars.

I would be careful with this one. They do not always have your best interest at heart. The world is full of horror stories of people getting bad advice from such people (not that there couldn't be some good ones). If you want to go see someone, I would suggest seeing an independent consultant who is not affiliated with the company that runs the 403b. They will be more likely to present your options in an unbiased manner, and may present some options that you wouldn't hear otherwise (the 403b7 option, for instance--that one certainly doesn't get publicized by the insurance companies that operate 403b plans).
