Man and the discus thrower in the round. Visual reality is the discus thrower statues you think of when looking at ancient Greek statues.

Man moved from basic stick pictures in the cave of Europe to visual reality in the ancient Greek period, the classical period. Visual reality has positive and negative space. Visual reality is how we really see things as an overall composite. Negative space is how fd = zero, another post I did with another MIT press release discussed fd = zero. The equation has the robotic hand or foot stop on target at a given force <f> and a given distance <d>. In other words the computer in the robot recognizes negative space and works with it.

Art has its next major break through with Picasso in Cubism which is how the eye picks up fragments of things before the brain puts them together. And then Abstract Expressionism which has the viewer involved more with the art. For instance the viewer might question why a piece is art and that might be the artist's intent to have his work questioned. So the artist has created the question in the viewer's mind.

These are higher orders of thought in the art world. Computer intelligence is a long way off. Right now it is beginning to move beyond being just object oriented with some algorithms.
