Man, how in the hec do you do this while driving? Is it voice activated? Or do people really punch in info while driving?

There are two ways to enter it: voice activated or punching it in. Punching it in isn't as hard as it sounds. You hit a button to bring up the menu for notifications, hit the type, maybe select one from a list and hit send. Four button pushes. You can type in more info or take a picture but that would be a bit more intensive (and when you try it pops up with a warning that only passengers, not the driver, should be doing that).

As soon as you open the menu it marks that GPS point, so even if you take forever to enter it you'll still be marking the map where you hit the first button. With practice you can enter things like cops, stopped cars, etc. pretty quickly and easily (or at least I can). It probably helps to have the phone mounted to your dash (my mount broke, I need to get a better one, too much switching it between work/home cars).

I actually find the voice activation more distracting than just punching it in, YMMV.
