markr33...In that case you would need to produce additional proof that you filed them...and since the IRS has an emply envelope its going to be a tough case. A stamped certified mail receipt just proves that you mailed it by the due date, because it doesn't have to be AT the irs by then, just in the MAIL by that date, so if it takes a long time to get there and they turn around and say we think you mailed it late, you can have proof that you didn't.
