Hope this is the right board. Feel free to send me elsewhere.

I am negotiating with the IRS (via Offer in Compromise) on taxes due from a failed business. I owe the money and will pay whatever I can.

My question: If I get married, will my new husband be responsible for my tax debt? While he's amenable, I think it would be not at all cool for them to garnishr his pay or something. I'll delay the wedding if that's the case.

Thanks for any help.
