Please excuse me if this has been asked before - I have read the FAQ and every message since TMFTaxes 3/17 "Estimated Taxes" article and didn't see a reference.

Is there a maximum amount that I can have withheld via my W-4 late in the year to account for cap gains realized early in the year? I note that there is a line 6 - additional amount you want withheld. Can I have my whole paycheck withheld if necessary?

Thanks - Minna
