I always thought one should contribute only up to the maximum match that their company makes. (which is 12% for me). But, the maximum contribution I could potentially make is 15%. Now, I'm hearing a different take on this. Does it make more sense to go ahead and do the 15 (if you have the means) so that you get the tax break and the bigger (eventual) nest egg?
