Maybe we should all ask ourselves "if it's not worth fixing, am I really out anything?"

Uhhh, yes I am. My car has been de-valued by the negligent actions of another person. While I hold nothing personal against the person who did this, I do expect them to pay the same price they would expect me to pay were the roles to be reversed.

Every day I hear complaints about the cost of car insurance. Policy forms continue to broaden and cover more things (especially true of home ins) more and more people turn in claims, cause, "thats what insurance is for", then the rates go up, all the while we are paying for damages that people don't fix.

And I'm not complaining about the cost of insurance (I also don't complain about taxes, or other expenses I consider "part of life"). So I don't think this much applies to me or affects my situation.
