mazske,

I was in Freeport and Camden... my family and I go to Maine once every year to get away, and we've also spent a lot of time in Bar Harbor and have driven through and seen some sights in Portland and Bangor in the past. I LOVE Maine. I think that's really awesome that you lived there, it's such a gorgeous place... and a testament to what much of it's like that you had to drive 2 hours to a Wal-Mart! Oh my... your son had an instant aversion to Wal-Mart as a baby?! 4 hours in the car back and forth, yipes! I wonder if he would have liked Costco better? ;)

It's very different from what I'm accustomed to here in the DC area, which has tons of people and traffic and Wal-Marts and such. :)

There's something very lovely about the pace up there (although in Camden, I had no signal for my phone, meaning I was almost entirely unplugged, which is also very different! - but probably what I needed on a getaway)... but I'm not sure I could take the winters if I ever lived there! I don't think I'm hearty enough, ha.

Alyce
