MBNA rejects half the credit card applications that come its way, according to a Value Line sheet. Its ideal customer is someone who's worked for 15 years, has $100,000+ equity in her or his house, and has a household income of $71,000.

Hmmm, I make less than $71,000, have less equity in my house than $100,000+ and yet MBNA took me on as a customer. For the most part, I have zero problems with MBNA. I did have a problem early on as a customer, which I was able to clear up with two phone calls.
