First, don't check more than once in 15 minutes. It doesn't change. Hopefully, they get this more up to the minute and in sync on the scorecard- I hate to see the today's change and the percentages off on the scorecard.

Now, as for the approach. I started with stocks I knew well, or thought I did :) Then I went to stocks I was watching. Then last week I took the most rated 1 and 5 star stocks and put those in. And along the way I closed as many +5 postions as I could. Although most have not been reopened because I am not that confident in my knowledge to re-up.

And the next strategy I intend to employ - find the coldest sector for the winter and underperform all the stocks that I can find. I have a feeling that retailers will be hit the hardest -- gas prices, although lagging now, took alot out of my pocket this year - and I can't be alone.

That's my strategy in the game. And oh yeah, the last thing -- keep picking more stocks.
