Meh. It's technical language, written by lawyers to be meaningful to other lawyers. I'm not sure what it means, but then I'm not a lawyer.

This specific contract was just written badly.
I am used to legal language - highly complex, meandering sentences are normal, but in this contract there were quite a few sentences where even after completely assembling a sentence in my mind the meaning wasn't clear.
That is something that I haven't encountered in an English contract for a long, long time.
