Mergent Announces the New Dividend Achievers™ for 2004:

Sounds useful but without an index fund, can't really use it. It is likely that the Dow Jones index that holds fifty stocks will have a higher dividend by cherry picking from the top dividends as it does vs an index of over 300 stocks. The Mergent index will give a better idea of what management has done over the past decade but were the management teams who made those decisions even still in the positions to keep that trend or are new CEOs who want to place their own stamp on the company installed?
