The volume of posts on this board indicates that I'm mostly talking to myself. But on the off chance that there are 2 or 3 other people in the Western Hemisphere who hold AHP and actually read this board from time to time I cite commentary from the Nov 30 issue of Forbes: The AHP-Monsanto merger may not be off after all. While the two CEOs did not take well to each other, AHP CEO John Stafford did like Monsanto's promising drug pipeline. It is "said" that Stafford may be contemplating a hostile takeover run at Monsanto which would then result in the departure of Monsanto's CEO Shapiro. Forbes' source speculates that AHP would likely have to pay over $50 a share for Monsanto shares if they go the hostile route. Meanwhile their source says that Dupont may be eyeing Monsanto and there are some talks underway. Stay tuned. Does anybody work for either AHP or Monsanto who may have heard some of these rumors?
