I need to vent and ask for any help in getting revenge.I will try to keep this brief. I used to own a house in New Hampshire until one year ago when the state took it away under the law of eminent domain. They paid us "fair market value" which of course was approx. a $30,000 loss for us. The state paid to have the contents of the house packed and stored for one year ( in case we found another place) or then moved to our primary residence. The problem is with the mover. He made a delivery in Sept. 98 and only delivered half of my stuff. It took until last week for him to find the rest and deliver it. When the truck did come only 2 boxes more arrived, this after I spoke with the secretary who went down a list with me telling me what was found and what wasn't. Well at this point I am just going to send him an itemized list with replacement prices. My attorney says he has insurance so I shouldn't have any trouble collecting. Next I plan on contacting the Dept. of Transportation who handled this part of the relocation, and inform them of the trouble I had. I am also going to request that they( DOT) tell me what he charged the state. The mover gave me abill of almost $2,000 for the move. The state only paid for a 50 mile radius out of town ao I was responsible for the rest. I have a funny feeling the mover charged the state his fee plus my fee too, which means he got paid twice. If anyone has any other suggestions for anything else I can do to let this mover know I am not a happy camper I'd appreciate it.Linda
