Ok, I have to vent about Jennifer Leather & my 3 WEEK ordeal !Their warranty (which is an extra $100 to get) is a scam, in the warranty it states... "what is covered by this guarantee: the lifetime leather protection plan covers nicks, cuts, punctures, rips, scratches, and stains from food, beverages, human urine and blood." It also states..."exclusions: furniture that has been mishandled, abused or neglected; staining is not covered for a full grain pure aniline leather; cumulative mulitple damages not reported within seven days of each occurence." Ok, so my loveseat got ripped (2 inches) on the backside (against the wall) when we (my dad and I) moved it from my apartment to my condo. It was wrapped in shrink wrap, and blankets. When I called the claim people, I was told three things 1) The outer side of the furniture is usually not covered. Those are considered "hot spots" 2) Moving damages are considered mishandling. 3) The warranty is usually only good for where the furniture is delievered to. IT DOES NOT, ANYWHERE, SAY THIS IN THE LIFETIME LEATHER PROTECTION PLAN. Furthermore, who pays almost $1000 for a loveseat to "mishandled" it. I appealed the decision (which I was told is the only thing I could do) with a one page letter and received a 4 line generic response of "DENIED". I don't even think anyone read what i wrote, they just saw my name and sent a denied letter. So what did I do next, I called the store that sold me the loveseat, and called the B.B.B. The manager of the store informed me that I AM CORRECT, and before they denied me they should of sent a technicion out to see if the loveseat had actually been "mishandled", and he would look into it and see what was going on. I still haven't heard anything from the B.B.B., they said it could take 3 weeks before you hear from them.My question is: Does anyone have any other idea's of what else I can do if they won't fix this loveseat?
