I wrote to the Fool and they did answer me. Unfortunately, I was so aggrevated by the answer that I trashed and deleted it. So, from memory, which , I admit may be flawed ... their reply:

First reply: This has been dealt with on the Improve the Fool Board...check post number XXXX (sorry, I can't remember the number.) The post said they were looking into the problem. It was dated the first part of SEPTEMBER.

Second reply: Well, yes they knew there was a problem but they couldn't figure out why although they were working on trying to figure it out.

I have a regular modem so it is slow to begin with ...
this problem makes it almost impossible. Sometimes (like today) I get lucky and things seem to be working better.
I have tried both IE and Netscape. When the pages are loading slow it doesn't matter which one I use.

I have to agree that the Fool site has a great deal to recommend it, however, if you can't get to it, it doesn't matter how great it is.
