MGS:In and around Cairo--The Museum is a must see! Also, take in the (early evening) light show at the pyramids in Giza. When I was in Egypt (early eighties) the light show was in English two nights a week. Absolutely awesome! While we didn't take any of the Nile cruises, we did take the night train from Cairo to Luxor both ways. It was a classic Belgian train (circa 1910). Clean, first class, sleeper cabin for two (probably could accomodate children, but it was just me and my wife). Anyhow, the meal, scenery, and everything is something I will cherish for as long as I live (widower since 1992). Have a tremendous time.--WauseonFox--
