Micasa, I guess the investors in OAK are an unexcitable bunch.

I bought into OAK after doing some research on the photonics sector, then a week and a half later Corning steped in and bought them. With JDSU buying up all the small producers of components, there are very few other companies left to use as a second source for parts. Corning now has a few more cards to play with since the addition of OAK. Given that JDSU just bought ETEK for $15B, the only other key player looking for a dance partner is SDLI - who said they passed on the opportunity to buy ETEK - but they are looking for someone to buy. I would not be surprised if Corning turned up hand in hand with SDLI. Soon.
