It sounds like you have things well under control. I noticed you had vacations that got to ya.<<(it was always minor emergencies and vacations that got me.)>> That reminded me about something I am going to try out on my next annual pay raise. I am sure it is a thing everyone on this board has heard of. I am starting a vacation account. Everything about my finances is automatic (how I do bills while I am deployed). I am going to put around $100 a month into an ING account automatically. I wait until I get a pay raise so I don't see the money at all. I wait until the account gets to a substantial amount and then BAM, vacation time. I usually get flights pretty cheap due to military, so the rest is spent on much needed R&R. DW doesn't know about all of this and I plan to spring it on her when I get around to it. She loves surprises. Congrats again on financial control.
