Mike:

May I ask what state you live in now?

Yes, we DO get snow -- sometimes 2-3 feet at a time! -- especially up here on our ridge! Thankfully, we have a guy who plows us out faithfully, and charges a pittance to do so -- another benefit to living here. For a 250-ft driveway, plus turnaround by the house, and the entrance to a detached 2-car garage, he has been charging $15 (!) but "had to go up this year to $20"! We tell him to come after he does folks who are in a rush. (It is, indeed, nice to NOT have to go out until or unless we choose to!)

It can be lovely in spring (except for "mud season"), summer, and winter, but autumn is, of course, GLORIOUS here. People come from everywhere for the fall foliage, and we get to just look out the window!

It CAN also be hot and humid here in the summer, but not for that long!

We love the seasons, and the changes, so we adore living here. Folks are also more laid back and accepting of one another (in general).

Good luck with your plans!

Vermonter
