Speed-rated tires for my car cost about EUR 220.00 each.

Mike where are you buying your tires? When I was shopping for winter tires last year they were running about 60-80 Euros mounted and installed and if your military I found some cheaper than that at AAFES (I know big surprise). And yes they were speed rated.

I hope my water pump doesn't explode I had our local shop replace it with the timing belt, it was time 160,000KM. Of course the cost was about the same as your whole deal. When I can't do the work myself I usually ask my landlady the best place to go she knows everyone here and generally gets me a good deal.

The only mechanical differences I could see wer the license plate brackets and cup holders.

Yep, one of my neighbors is in sales for Audi Germany and he told me the only differrences are really the headlights and the odometers. He was trying to help me get a factory direct on a U.S. Specs but it appears that the only authoresed dealer in U.S. Specs are the auto exchange.

Thanks for the advice.
