This is good news for stocks like DRL, DSIC, SESI, and MIND:

"The number of rigs exploring for oil and natural gas in the United States stood at 1,032 this week, up 52 from the prior week and 242 above the year-ago total of 790, according to a report from Baker Hughes. The number of rigs drilling on land rose by 53 to 881, while rigs working offshore fell one to 125. The number of rigs active in inland waters remained at 26. Among individual states, the biggest changes occurred in Texas, which was up by 22 after last week's fall of 26; New Mexico, which was up by 12,
and Oklahoma, which was up by five. The weekly rig count reflects the number of rigs exploring for oil and gas, not those producing oil and gas."

About the stocks:

*MIND provides seismic equipt. to drillers (about $19)
*DRL is a land-based driller (about $6)
*DSIC is a land-based driller (about $1.6)
*SESI provides services to offshore drillers (about $8)

All of these stocks are very good values in a booming industry. IMHO, all have the potential to double, triple, or quadruple over the next three years. Best of all, they are cheap enough that picking up a large number of shares is relatively easy.
