My husband became 70 1/2 this year. For tax reasons it is better for us to start distribution by April of 2002. Fidelity tells us that the calculation for amount to be distributed will be based on the value of the assets on December 2000 rather than 2001, even if we start distribution by April 2002. Is this correct? Thanks in advance,Irma
