"Buffett likes to talk about 17-year patterns. If he's correct, we're entering into a bearish 17-year pattern that would more closely resemble the pattern we saw 1966-1982. Buffett made a killing during that period, though, because he was able to properly assess a company's intrinsic worth. I think BI gives us the tools to do the same."

I'm curious; can you give a citation to where WEB talks about this 17-year pattern? I would certainly like to read more about it. Or is this post more appropriate on the BRK board?
