There is an article on B2 of IBD. It mentions how popular Kefir is
in Europe as opposed to the U.S. and what Julie Smolyansky, the
daughter of Michael Smolyansky who died suddenly in 2002, is doing
to hold the reins of the company as President and CEO, increasing
Kefir's popularity here. ( On a personal note, my wife and I love the
product - just wish we could have access to some of the other products
they offer)

Julie says that she is better able to reach and sell to the female
population which she is targeting that are between the ages of 18 and
59 because she is 29 yrs. old and is able to relate easier.

Lifeway is also aiming at Hispanics with Las Frutas, which has received
positive feedback from test marketing.

The article states that Lifeway sees 15% growth yearly, but the costs
of ingredients rising might slow growth to single digits.
