After doing 99 taxes my husband and I need to pay an additional $96.00 per pay (q 2 weeks) in order to break even with the irs. Do you think it's better to have more income witheld or to put the $96.00 into a tax deferred annunity. We already put the maximum $10,000 into husbands 401k. If we take the money off the top before taxes, would we still need to put $96.00 or would it work out to be less? Thanks
