I just purchased a MP3 player for my daughter for christmas. I'm currently transferring CDs that we own to our computer so I can transfer them to her player. This is taking a long time.

It would be a lot more convenient to download the MP3 instead of doing this. Over a year ago, before the court battle, I downloaded some songs from Napster. Then I deleted it all off my computer and stopped doing that.

Since I bought this player there was a bunch of "coupons", etc. with it for various places were you could download music, all advertising for "free". Here on TMF I've seen advertisements where you could download for about $1 a month at various sites.

Where is a good place to go? $1 a month certainly sounds like a fair deal not to have to do what I'm doing now, but I know so little about this I would like suggestions first.
