I'm a bewildered rookie. In October I sold my first option, a $29 put on MSFT maturing December 22. Since then I have watched MSFT drop to barely above $27, and have little hope that it will be back to anywhere near $29 by December 22.

What is my best course? Is there a way to bail out, and if so should I? Or should I stick it out and buy a lower-value stock for $29?
