When making a recent purchase at BestBuy, I took the $400 off by agreeing to 3 years of MSN Internet for the same price/month that I was paying EarthLink. (I've also used AOL in the past.) I figured it must be ok since it was from Microsoft.

It's been 2 weeks and think I've gotten a bum deal.

I keep having this problem where I click on the MSN icon, or select the "Connect to MSN" option. Sometimes, it brings up the window with in which I enter my Username/passsword and hit dial. Other times, it thinks I'm connected and just brings up the browser. I never gives me the username/password window with the dial button.

I've called tech support about this twice. After going thru the menu, I'm put on hold, then a message to the effect of "Your call can't be answered at this time" is received, and it HANGS UP. I also have problems with Outlook Express (which I set up correctly for EarthLink, so I've at least done it before).

Has anyone else had the above problem?

It annoys me that the automated phone menu hangs up on me. Customer support (which I believe Microsoft subcontracts out) is horrible. AOL's support was much better.

The only positive for MSFT is that they have 3 years to get better before I leave.
