Well, it won't amount to a baby's fart in the middle of a hurricane, but I feel better.

Paul Hackett was "asked to step aside" in the Ohio Senate race by Democrats??

Has the Democratic party altogether taken leave of its senses?

Hackett is one of the few (perhaps the only) Democratic candidate in recent years to be crisp, passionate, and on-point concerning the Bush administration and the Iraq war. A veteran, who served in Iraq and who could counter the B.S. from the Rovian Right about Democrats being soft on defense and "turr"?? That's the man you wanted to step aside?

You did it again! I cannot tell you how disappointed I was that the party turned on Howard Dean in the 2004 primaries and instead advanced John Kerry, an honorable but entirely dull and uninspiring man. If ever there was a Presidential race to be lost by sheer incompetence and lack of vision, 2004 was it.

And now the party wants to brush aside Hackett? Do you enjoy losing national elections??

I've had my fill of the party. I'm voting for independent candidates from now on, and be damned whether you lose to the cancer that is the Republican party again. You don't deserve my vote again.
