My first thought is that at 275 and being male, your weight loss thus far is neither concerning nor surprising. Your body is dumping the easy junk -- excess glycogen and water, mostly. That whole thing about 1-2 pounds a week is calibrated for women who weight 100 pounds less than you. Don't worry about it.

ThyPeace, and keep going! This is a marathon, not a sprint. It's great that you're off to a good start. Remind yourself of that when you hit a plateau. (We all do...)
