My husband and I have LTC policies from Continental Casualty Company. Premiums can be increased, however my husbands' policy which has been in force for 7 years has not seen any increase. Our financial planner really took the time to decide which plan to offer us, since she sold several plans from different companies. She liked CNA at the time which was 1993 and again in 1997. Make sure home health, respite care, and day care benefits are included.
I believe in LTC policies. As a nurse I've seen what lack of money for LTC has done to families. They've struggled to care for loved ones at home. I've seen families totally torn apart in arguments about how to care for aging parents, who needed LTC and did not have the assets to pay for it.
Take Care
